The Tamil Nadu University of Physical Education and Sports (TNPESU), is one of the sports affiliated university in India. The university comprises five departments, mainly Department of Physical Education, Yoga, Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics, Sports Psychology and Sports Management and Advanced Sports Coaching and Sports Technology.
There are three faculties and ten affiliated colleges. The Government of Tamil Nadu in 2005 established the TNPESU. TNPESU is responsible for admission process as well as recruitment of various personnel. Annually, TNPESU publishes job vacancies for various posts such as Guest Lecturers, Professor, Supervisor.

TNPESU Recruitment 2023
In the official notification released on 05 May 2023 the TNPESU invited all the interested applicants with desirable qualifications for the post of Guest Lecturer (Temporary). The organisation specified that there are 17 temporary available vacancies in ten departments. The recruitment is purely temporary and for a period of ten months or at the end of 2023-2024 Academic Year or on Honorarium Maximum of Rs.25,000 per month.
Candidates wishing to apply must fill the application form by 10 June 2023. Any application form received after the stipulated date shall not be entertained. The filled application form has to be sent to ‘The Registrar, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University” and a demanded draft has to be drawn in their favour too.
The candidates selected for the Guest Lecturer post will work under the supervision of the Registrar of Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University.

Vacancy Details
There are 17 available vacancies for the post of guest lecturer in various departments. For Physical Education there are 2 posts, for Yoga- 2 available posts, for Exercise Physiology and Nutrition one vacancy. For Adavanced Training and Coaching a total of three posts, for Sports Biomechanics and Kinesiology 3 posts, for Sports Psychology and Sociology one post. Sports Management 2 vaccines. In English (SDE), Tamil (SDE), Yoga (SDE), 1 post each.

Educational Qualification
To be an eligible candidate for the desirable post, the candidate needs to meet the essential qualifications. The educational qualifications vary post wise, however one main qualification needed for every post is Master’s Degree in respective post applied for with atleast 55% marks or it’s equivalent score. The candidates need to also have qualified PhD/ National/ State level tests such as NET with JRF/NET/SLET/SET.

Age Limit
The age limit has not yet been clearly specified by the recruitment body. However, the age limit is expected to be 21 years to 30 years.
